Nice vid, I love … Nice vid, I love fishing in Wisconsin, been a while since I went fly fishing. But I went to Wolf river a while back. Although you catch and release I tend to eat the fish, especially if it’s a nice size trout.
Neither IMHO. Fly … Neither IMHO. Fly fishing is just another form of angling, every1 has their likes and dislikes. Sometimes a hard lure will out perform a fly and sometimes the other way around. The big difference is the casting styles and tackle.
very nice fish, i … very nice fish, i live in wisconsin and i love the fact that im never far from the woods and its very easy to travel to spooner and go fishing or northern wisconsin and go hunting its a very nice state.
The river is pretty … The river is pretty much divided between a cold water trout fishery above Hayward, then warmwater below. Not to say there are no browns in the lower sections, but it’s more smallmouth habitat.
I haven’t caught … I haven’t caught many browns but that is bigger than the 16″ I caught. It’s at least 17 inches, also a beefier not spawned out fish like mine was.
Nice little trout. … Nice little trout. “One that does not know how to fish, should not embarass a fish by catching it” Norman MacLean Casting pretty good. Please. 20 inches. Nice fishermans ruler. I was thinking 13 or 14 at best.
I see your … I see your reasoning…but still it looked funny…a big old truck driving by on the bridge, & you’re sneaking up on the fish…hehehe, nice vid & good music, OBTW…Hope you make up to Alaska someday to get some real ‘Bows…;)
It doesn’t bother … It doesn’t bother them as much as u might think. Fish under bridges get “used” to traffic noise & vibrations, it’s a known to them. A animal(fisherman) moving at their level to the side of them is something different (out of the ordinary) & instinct kicks in…hence the sneaking.
One has to wonder … One has to wonder why the fisherman “snuck up” on the river by the bridge, when there was a truck backing up & driving over the bridge, to “scare” any fish away? HMMMMMMM
Its a leisure … Its a leisure activity. The rush you get when you get a fish on is brilliant, the fight gets your blood racing and the adrenaline flowing. Its just fun, thats all.
